We were founded in the fall of 2008, when, after much research and deliberation, Doug brought home a trailer full of American British White calves.
These beautiful animals immediately stole our hearts with their calm, sweet, curious natures, and long eyelashes!
We spent every spare second with them, inching ever closer with an apple and the promise of trust.
Within a few days, they were all named, divided among the kids, and loved!
A few months later we were introduced to Holly and Missy, who Doug traveled to Washington to bring home. They were our first Lowline Angus heffers, and were as equally loveable.
We were very thorogh in our research of the breed of cattle that would make up "Walker Family Farms".
With an emphasis on feed efficiency, and tempermant, we chose both the British Whites and the Lowlines, so that our children could be an active part of our business, without the fear of getting hurt by bigger, more aggressive animals.
Grandpa Walker, and his father were Angus men, but we also wanted something a little more unique, somthing that would catch the eye, and meat that would fall apart on your fork.
We are very happy with our choice to breed and raise Registered American British Whites and Registered Fullblood and percentage Lowline Angus.
The tempermants of both breeds are extremely docile and friendly. Every one of our animals will approach you, and eat out of your hand.
